In this project, four parties in the East of the Netherlands cooperate closely to develop a system that will allow an optimal, personalized revalidation of patients with movement disorders caused by stroke. The fast and accurate diagnosis that is required for this is based on the exact determination of muscle power of individual muscles as measured by surface electromyography in combination with the kinematics of the skeleton (e.g. joint angles). Apart from TMSi, these parties are the University of Twente, the Sint Maartens Clinic and Bard.zo. The project is made possible in part by a grant from the Operational Program (OP) East Netherlands, a joint grant program from the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel, in which EU funds are used to stimulate innovation and to strengthen regional SMEs.
